Dog Food Grader

All animals can benefit from the wholesome goodness of well balanced nutrition from natural sources.

Scientific studies continue to show that diets rich in fruits and vegetables are associated with the prevention of several chronic diseases.

To produce good skin and coat you have to feed more human grade meat and higher quality sources of fats, and oils.

Living foods like fruits and vegetables can be used for snacks and a rotation of diet are essential to good health.

If you where to fed/eat only dehydrated grain based food substitutes you would be nutrient deficient.

If I remember high school history class correctly we learned how the people on the  Mayflower had scurvy due to lack of fresh fruits like oranges.

Why do we believe today that dogs can live a healthy  life with only one dehydrated food fed twice a day every day until they go home to heaven?

Good Marketing is my answer. After World War2 dog food was invented. Before World War2 Dogs ate food from mother earth like us.

Humans created dog food, cat food, rabbit food, the list goes on but what I question is why did food from the earth stop being food for all animals of the earth to eat?

I'm not saying not to feed  natural kibble diets. It is my opinion you need to rotate often add water to the kibble and living foods to the over all diet.

DO NOT FEED DIETS with meat protein substitutes, by product, inexpensive fillers, or chemical preservatives.

Many of the Kibble and Canned Diets found at Pet Supply Chain Stores and Grocery Stores contain inexpensive fillers or other meat protein substitutes that are hidden behind the word natural on the packaging and misleading advertising.

Wholesome frozen raw meat diets are:

  • A great source of natural nutrients.
  • Grain-free, no fillers
  • Whole foods for proper nutrition
  • Convenient and ready to serve
  • Less backyard cleanup

What if my veterinarian says a raw meat diet is unsafe?

Unfortunately, most veterinary schools provide grossly inadequate education on basic canine and feline nutrition. However, more and more veterinarians are becoming self educated in the value of preventing poor health through sound nutrition ( alternative/holistic medicine).

The list below is how bodies handle poor diet in the long- term & vets try to control with drugs and prescription foods

    • Obesity
    • Pancreatitis
    • Periodontal Disease including abscesses.
    • Arthritic joints
    • Heart disease
    • Seizures (epilepsy and other neurological problems)
    • Diabetes
    • Cancer
    • Renal failure
    • UTIs and crystals/stones
    • inflammatory e bowl disease (aka, leaky gut syndrome)
    • Auto-immune disorders also due to over vaccination
    • Itchy, Flaky skin including yeast related fungal infections
    • dry dull coat with year-round shedding
    • body order

What about E-coli and other bacteria?

Dogs are scavengers and cats are true carnivores. Their teeth and short digestive systems are designed for raw meat. They can thrive in the presence of microbes potentially dangerous to humans. Raw Diets do not contain guts, it's in the guts you find bacteria.

Remember Dogs dig up old bones, Cats eat mice.

Frozen Raw Diets have been safely fed to pets for many generations.

Raw frozen diets provide excellent, biologically appropriate nutrition for your pets. Because these products are highly perishable, proper handling is important as some raw food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness to you or your pets if the products are mishandled. (dry kibble is also perishable and could cause illness) For your protection please follow these instructions for safest use of raw.

  • Wash hands before handling raw diets to prevent contaminating the food.
  • For maximum food safety and freshness, thaw overnight in the refrigerator only the portion you intend to feed the next day. For ideal safety, products should still be cold to the touch when fed.
  • Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Use hot, soapy water to wash working surfaces, utensils (including cutting boards, preparation areas and feeding bowls), hands , and any other items that touch or come into contact with raw meat or poultry.
  • If your pet does not consume all the food presented within 30 minutes, remove any leftovers and discard.
  • Use hot, soapy water to wash your pet's bowl after each feeding.
  • When collecting your pet's waste products from your yard or litter box, use caution as waste materials may contain bacteria

Raw Meaty Bones are great for satisfying your pet's natural desire to chew and exercising jaws, especially for puppies. Helping to keep the teeth clean and stimulate the gums bones provide an all natural source of glucosamine for arthritis/joint pain. Bones serve as a calcium source in your homemade diet. Bones stretch your food budget without compromising quality nutrition.

Replace some of your pet's normal daily diet with an equal amount of raw meaty bones, up to 50%. Let your pet enjoy an occasional whole meal of raw meaty bones. perhaps once or twice a week, keep the overall amount of food per day the same as always; just substitute some raw meaty bones for usual kibble, homemade, or pre-made raw diet.

Always supervise your pet no matter how much experience you have with feeding bones, if your pet doesn't know what to do with a raw meaty bones try holding one end with a pair of pliers. For a small dog or cat you may want to chop the raw meaty bones into smaller pieces. let puppies or kittens tackle oversized bones; they can't coke/ and they will have lots of fun! For older pets, the use of enzymes and/or probiotics may be beneficial. Never cook raw meaty bones, cooking will make the bones splintery and dangerous. R stands for RAW!*
